The UNM-Valencia Campus is accepting applications for temporary, part-time faculty to teach Freshman and Sophomore level Mathematics and Statistics courses. If online teaching is needed, documented accepted training and/or in-house training would be required. Positions are contingent upon the need of each semester as determined by student enrollment levels and current course offerings. This is a continuous recruitment beginning in the fall 2025 semester. Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of The University of New Mexico, which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, technical programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit courses to high schools in Valencia and Socorro Counties. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Mathematics or Master's degree in a related field and 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics. Two years of experience teaching freshman and/or sophomore-level Mathematics courses Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D., ABD, or EdD in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field. At least one year of successful teaching experience at a community college. Documented training to teach online classes.
