Skilled Maintenance Technician - Room Turn

We are looking for an experienced handyman/maintenance person which includes drywall repair, flooring, painting, plumbing, daily building maintenance and completing work orders. The Amberleigh, a premier retirement community in Williamsville, NY, provides quality care to residents in an independent living, assisted living, and memory care community. Job Summary: The Amberleigh is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance/Handyman to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing rooms for new residents, completing maintenance work orders, and ensuring our community stays clean, safe, and move-in ready. Candidates must be flexible with work schedules, including early, mid, and later shifts as needed. Key Responsibilities: Prepare rooms for new residents by painting, repairing walls, and ensuring quality standards. Perform drywall repairs, including patching, sanding, and finishing. Complete basic maintenance work orders, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs. Perform daily light cleaning of common areas and workspaces. Take out trash daily from assigned areas. Use a smartphone or mobile device to receive, track, and complete work orders. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including 7 AM4 PM, 9 AM5 PM, or later shifts as needed. Weekend shifts are mandatory. Qualifications: Professional painting experience, including prepping, patching, and finishing. Experience with drywall repair, including patching and finishing. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Comfortable using a smartphone or mobile device for work-related communication and task tracking. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality work. Must be flexible with work hours and available for weekend shifts. Why Join Us?
