SummaryUnder the supervision of and in collaboration with the RN, performs responsibilities exercising initiative, judgment and independent decision-making within the scope of the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policy and other governing organizations.Job DutiesThe essential functions of this job are identified with an asterisk (*) at the end of the bullet point.Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changing situations including cares, medication and behaviors.*Identifies changes and trends in resident status. Individualizes care plans for residents depending on needs. Monitors resident outcomes and effectiveness of plan of care. Documents all findings.*Practices safety and infection control measures. Completes treatments, med administration and equipment use following established standards. Responds appropriately to emergency situations.*Observe for resident/family learning needs. Plans and coordinates with other disciplines (P.T., Pharmacist, etc.) to meet learning needs of residents. Teaches, counsels and reinforces residents and family members.*Assumes accountability and responsibility for quality of resident care provided.
