Account Manager
Location: Eden Prairie, MN, US, 55344 Business Unit: Engineered Medical Components Summary of Position
The Account Manager is responsible for securing orders, sales, and profits in accordance with a business forecast and an established plan. The incumbent will grow revenue and profits at new and established accounts by partnering with BDM, company engineering, and operations to present solutions that address the high-level needs of a customer's key decision makers. The position is responsible for initiating and managing all relationships and activities at assigned accounts. Duties and Responsibilities
Achieves sales and profit goals at assigned accounts within the guidelines of the company's sales practices Expands business and customer loyalty within strategic accounts, increases account penetration Controls and performs the activities of contract negotiations to obtain optimum orders, sales, and profits Develops and maintains superior relationships with key decision makers and influencers at assigned accounts Implements personal travel schedule to maintain close contact with key decision makers at assigned accounts Exhibits a high level of proficiency and expertise in discussing the company's products, processes, and services Facilitates/leads collaboration among cross-functional team members, shares market and product intelligence Forecasts annual Orders, Sales, and Profits for assigned accounts Contributes to the formulation of company sales strategy and annual sales plan Prepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to summarize activities and results within assigned accounts Participates in trade shows and similar activities to strengthen customer relationships and capture target accounts Completes administrative duties in a timely fashion and works within a specified budget Maintains a self-improvement program through conferences, courses, and readings to continue to develop expertise in sale, in relevant technology, and in the medical device industry Collaborates with operations for demand planning All other duties as assigned Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar major with 3-5 years' related experience Certification in a recognized tactical selling training program (preferred) Proven success at selling high value, complex, technical products; preferably in medical devices Polished communication skills to successfully deliver presentations, and to write reports for executive audience Ability to establish productive cross-functional relationships Multi-functional familiarity with manufacturing Ability to positively influence colleagues at all levels of an organization Proficient computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Proficiency with Contact Relationship Management software and with database analysis Ability to function in a fast-paced dynamic organization Demonstrated team player and self-starter Travel 10-20% Compensation: Salaried Salary Minimum: $85,000 Salary Maximum: $105,000 Incentive: Yes Disclaimer: Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
