Principal Process Engineer

Boston Scientific is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Principal Process Engineer to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you'll use your technical skills and passion for innovation to lead the commercialization of new products and improvements. You'll work hands-on to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, global environment, focusing on developing processes from concept to production. This position involves cross-functional collaboration to design and commercialize advanced technology, supporting process development across Boston Scientific's global network. Your responsibilities will include: Execute the functional deliverables associated with PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems Provide on-going mentoring and technical guidance to managers, other engineers, technicians, and functional group Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on complex projects Identify and mitigate technical risks early in development cycles Serve as a key resource or expert, participating in setting technical direction for the function and/or organization Review and assess processes for potential patent opportunities Ensure visibility and closure of process issues (e.g., yields, cost, capability, etc.) per PDP milestones Develop test plans, perform DOE and data analysis, and validate processes Serve as a key contributor and participant in technical reviews Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and cost Evaluate external technologies and strategically identify opportunities to implement them internally Serve as a core team member and technical expert (subject matter expert) on platform and complex projects Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (or closely related technical field) 7+ years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role Demonstrated experience driving innovation and solving complex technical problems Demonstrated cross-functional teamwork in technically demanding environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred qualifications: Experience with Brazing, Sputtering, and Coating Technologies Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor other engineers Highly motivated individual that can independently drive deliverables to completion through collaboration among team members Demonstrated ability to develop and drive innovative solutions into processes and products Medical device design experience; new product development
