Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, etc.), medical histories, and documenting concerns.
Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as required.
Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the physician.
Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens (blood, urine, etc.), and prepare samples for analysis.
Sterilize and maintain medical instruments.
Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow. Answer phones and greet patients in a friendly and professional manner. Update and maintain patient medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Process billing and insurance claims, verifying patient insurance information. Handle patient inquiries and provide information as needed. Order and maintain medical and office supplies. Required Skills & Qualifications :,>
High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent). Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program (Clinical and Administrative). Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care. Proficient in using medical office software and EHR systems. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Preferred Qualifications :,>
Experience in a clinical setting or physician's office. Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and phlebotomy skills. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. ,>
