Radiologic Technologist
Provide imaging and patient care services. Position patients and select exposure factors accurately. Implement radiation protection and safety standards. Select appropriate scanning parameters for each exam. Obtain and utilize relevant patient data. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Licensure / Certification / Registration: Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Bone Densitometry credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 1 or more years of experience working with electronic imaging software - preferred Previous experience with performing Dexa Scans - preferred
