Aviation Technology Instructor - (Part-Time) Olive-Harvey College
General Responsibilities Teach skills in pattern layout, drilling, riveting, sheet metal bending and simple repairs Demonstrate proper safety measures for basic hand machine tools See that equipment and/or labs are properly maintained where appropriate Provide instruction in aviation maintenance technology to students in compliance with FAA, State and regulatory body requirements Establish and maintain academic and attendance records for student file Develop and maintain positive relationships with class participants Maintain a neat and orderly classroom or lab Taking attendance at each class, ensuring that all participants are registered and properly signed in Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum three (3) years hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse group of staff and students required Experience with a diverse, multi-lingual student population is desired, as is a commitment to the open access mission of the community college We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
