SEO And Content Optimization Manager
As the SEO and Content Optimization Manager, you will lead the development and execution of best practices for search-optimized content across Boston Scientific's global digital ecosystem. This hybrid role combines deep SEO expertise with emerging generative AI capabilities to boost brand visibility through both organic search and generative search channels, enhance content efficiency, and foster meaningful engagement with healthcare professionals and patients worldwide. You will collaborate cross-functionally with content and digital marketers, as well as product teams to deliver scalable, data-driven content strategies that support Boston Scientific's business goals and uphold the highest standards of quality, compliance, and innovation. Your responsibilities will include: On-Page SEO Strategy: Collaborate with digital marketing and brand teams to integrate SEO best practices across global web properties and content ecosystems Develop and implement comprehensive on-page SEO strategies to improve website rankings and user engagement. Keyword Research & Optimization: Conduct keyword research, content optimization, competitive benchmarking, and performance audits to boost organic search visibility. Site Structure & Technical SEO: Collaborate with developers and web designers to ensure optimal site structure, internal linking, and URL structure. Conduct regular audits to identify technical SEO issues such as broken links, page speed issues, mobile responsiveness, and crawl errors. AI & AEO/GEO Optimization: Experiment with AI-powered search (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)/Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to optimize future organic search performance. Partner with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure responsible AI integration. GenAI Content Strategy: Evaluate, pilot, and scale tools (e.g., Aprimo SmartActions, OpenAI, Copilot) to enhance content creation and optimization workflows. Content Governance: Champion structured content, taxonomy, and modular frameworks to enable reuse, discovery, and localization. Establish governance protocols to maintain quality and compliance of SEO- and AI-generated content. Analytics & Reporting: Create and maintain dashboards to track keyword performance, SEO quality, and GenAI impact. Collaborate with the Analytics team to streamline data workflows and dashboards. Partner with digital marketers of all experience levels to identify actionable SEO and GenAI insights; translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible strategies that elevate content performance across channels. Define and report on new SEO and GenAi initiatives along with related KPIs. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SEO and content marketing. Strong knowledge of technical SEO, including site architecture, structured data/schema markup, hreflang, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization, and canonicalization. Proficiency with SEO tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Siteimprove, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics. Experience working with developers and UX teams to implement SEO improvements and resolve technical issues. Demonstrated success in supporting or leading content strategies within regulated industries and for global audiences. Preferred qualifications: Experience in medtech, healthcare, or life sciences industry. Familiarity with structured content, modular frameworks, or content modeling practices. Understanding of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and their impact on SEO and content.
