Senior Digital Producer
The Hill, a division of Nexstar Media Group, is seeking a Senior Digital Producer to assist with the production of long and short form video programming focused on politics and culture. The senior digital producer will be a primary point of contact helping to drive and oversee the outlet's YouTube channel. The producer will also support live video programming serving as a backup control room producer. Duties & Responsibilities: Produce and edit videos in collaboration with video team members primarily for YouTube Assist with integration of new content tools Drive synergy between The Hill, NewsNation, Nexstar DC Bureau Pitch and assist in developing new online content Assist in the analysis of data and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement Stay current on YouTube platform developments, trends, and training Serve as a control room producer for live programming as needed Perform other duties as assigned by news management Requirements & Skills: Must have significant experience producing for broadcast and digital in national newsroom or top market Strong news judgement Understanding of official Washington and national politics Quick decision maker and creative thinker Bachelor's degree in journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Excellent broadcast writing skills Superior video editing skills Superior copy-editing skills are also a must Must also be capable of interacting positively and productively with other employees all while understanding you are leading by example Knowledge and familiarity with newsroom technologies including Adobe Premiere, ENPS Ability to adapt to change, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Flexibility to work different shifts Salary Range: $80,000
