Position Summary: This Administrative Assistant, State Government Relations (SGR) position provides administrative support to the APCIA home office and assigned regional offices. Under general direction, performs varied clerical and typing/word processing duties. Handles office management and assists with the Political Action Committee. Handles travel arrangements and conference registrations for regional staff. Makes independent decisions within established guidelines regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling of own work. Performs a wide array of computer technical support duties. Works closely with the office technologies department on PC-related administration, support, and training. This position requires the incumbent to be in the APCIA California office at least two days per week. Principal Responsibilities: Provides administrative support to the APCIA home office and assigned regional office(s). · Maintains the schedule, assists with travel arrangements, meeting preparations, and reports for professionals in both offices. Assists professional staff in membership outreach and communication. Responsible for all secretarial support for assigned regional offices(s). Coordinates phone coverage for the office, including answering phones, screening calls, and responding to calls as required. Oversees inventory of office supplies and orders additional supplies through APCIA headquarters as needed. Tracks incoming bills, processes payment through the APCIA accounting department. Maintains schedules for onsite meetings, vacation schedules and conference calls. Responsible for preparation and posting of all bulletins and other documents to APCIA website. Coordinates PC related work with office technologies department and schedules and supervises repairs and upgrades by outside vendors. Coordinates agenda and speakers for APCIA meetings as assigned. Process and tracking campaign contributions for assigned region(s). Manage legislation for assigned region(s), including tracking legislation and processing and distributing bill position letters. Schedule meetings with members of the legislature for regional staff. Handles travel arrangements and conference registrations for regional staff. Assists with the PAC, including scheduling events.

Associate's Degree or certifications in related fields – Experience:
Experience in positions with advanced secretarial duties Ability to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to act independently, including strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong computer skills, including experience with Windows and Microsoft Office.
