Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal Circuit Design Engineer
for a contract opportunity. This position is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and testing. Position Summary: The Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal Circuit Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, simulation, layout, and validation of complex high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits. The role requires strong analytical and hands-on skills in both pre-layout and post-layout design phases. Key Responsibilities: Design, simulate, and lay out high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits Perform pre-layout and post-layout simulations, including parasitic extraction Conduct top-level SPICE and mixed-mode simulations for functional and performance validation Generate comprehensive documentation, including design specifications and test plans Analyze test results and refine designs to meet performance and reliability targets Collaborate cross-functionally with layout, test, and product engineering teams Required Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of experience designing Si-based high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits such as TIAs, limiting amplifiers, VGAs, FFE/DFE architectures, and digitally-assisted analog designs Strong understanding of impedance matching, return loss, phase noise, jitter analysis, and feedback systems Proven experience bringing analog/mixed-signal blocks into production Proficiency with analog/mixed-signal simulation and analysis, including bandgaps, LDOs, opamps, bias circuits, and compensation techniques Expertise in industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys HSPICE, Siemens Calibre, and StarRC Hands-on experience with bench testing, characterization, and debugging of silicon Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability Strong verbal and written communication skills MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience) Compensation: Hourly Rate:
