Temporary Medical Receptionist

Payrate: $18/hr.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch break)
Patient Interaction Greet and check in patients upon arrival in a courteous and professional manner Verify patient information and update electronic health records (EHR) Answer multi-line phones and respond to inquiries or route calls appropriately Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Provide patients with necessary forms, instructions, and information Administrative Duties Process patient registration, insurance verification, and collect co-pays Manage daily appointment calendar and coordinate with clinical staff Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations Assist with billing inquiries and prior authorizations Sort and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and emails Office Support Maintain cleanliness and order of the reception area and front desk Monitor office supplies and inform management when restocking is needed Support other administrative staff with clerical tasks as required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; associates degree or healthcare certification a plus 1+ years of experience in a medical office or customer service setting Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent multitasking and organizational skills Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred IND2
