Payroll & Benefits Clerk
The MAC Payroll & Benefits Clerk is responsible for supporting the payroll process by reviewing, maintaining, and editing employee timecards, completing time edits, and performing accurate data entry. This position ensures that timekeeping records are properly maintained and processed in a timely manner for payroll submission. Additionally, this role will assist with clerical tasks related to recruitment as needed. Other duties and responsibilities of the MAC Payroll & Benefit Clerk include: Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Edit and correct time entries as needed, based on supervisor approvals and supporting documentation. Enter time-related data into ADP accurately and efficiently. Communicate with supervisors or team leads to resolve timecard discrepancies or missing punches. Assist in preparing reports or summaries related to hours worked, attendance, or overtime. Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee data at all times. Provide support during payroll processing cycles to ensure timely and accurate pay. Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing payroll documentation as needed. Collaborate with the Human Resources department on joint projects. Perform clerical duties in support of recruitment activities, such as scheduling interviews, preparing candidate packets, and maintaining applicant tracking records. Perform other related duties as assigned. Work with supervisor to ensure effective use of department resource and alignment with company guidelines. Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and timekeeping tasks. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Minimum Level or Preparation & Training Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. 1 year of administrative or data entry experience preferred; prior payroll or HR experience is a bonus but not required.
