Senior Product Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firearms design and designing mechanical devices, linkages, springs, and polymer products, with expertise in various manufacturing processes. This role involves leading the design and development of new firearm products from concept to production release, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring other engineers, and improving existing processes and products. Design, Solidworks, creo, fire arms, gd&t, Engineering, proe design, proe, Autocad, Product design, New product development, calipers, windchill, casting, sheet metal, injection moulding Design, Solidworks, creo, fire arms, gd&t, Engineering Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of new firearm products and accessories throughout the entire product lifecycle. Oversee prototype development and testing, analyzing results to refine designs. Conduct detailed engineering analysis and simulations to optimize design performance and reliability. Utilize 3D CAD software (ProE/CREO) for development and to create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. Stay current with advancements in firearm technology, materials, and manufacturing processes. Ensure all designs meet safety, functionality, and durability requirements. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product quality. Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Quality Engineering teams. Analyze and improve existing processes and products, including updating documentation. Address issues with product problems, suppliers, quality, and production. Contribute to the strategic development of processes and procedures for product design and development. Contribute to the strategy and development of design, development, test, and verification equipment capabilities. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff. Software Knowledge ProE/CREO CAD experience preferred. Windchill - Database Management Software. SolidWorks (if not experienced in ProE/CREO). Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Expert Level The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
