Job Title: Laboratory Data Administrative Specialist
The main function of this role is to accurately input sample data to the Laboratory Information Management System. This position is in a lab that is projected to process thousands of samples this year. Seeking a candidate who is interested to work in a fast-paced environment to support the laboratory team. Primary
High volume data entry of customer and sample information into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System). File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports. Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including email and phone messages. Prepare responses to correspondence containing routing inquiries. Light laboratory tasks such as storing and disposal of completed samples. Top Skills
Attention to details to ensure that customer is sample information is entered accurately. Prior data entry experience. High data entry speed and accuracy due to time-sensitive nature of the laboratory samples. Good spelling. Additional Skills
Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Ability to keep information organized and confidential. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Team player and detail oriented. Education/Experience
2+ years' experience required. Candidate will be performing office-based work in a lab environment. Seeking a candidate who is comfortable with exposure to the lab. Candidates who have performed data entry/clerical in a lab or plant environment previously may be a good fit. Additional Notes
