Senior Mep Practice Builder

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a Senior MEP Practice Builder to join the Orlando, Florida office and expand our MEP practice in Florida! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities

Project management role in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities. Ability to oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion. Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls. Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas. Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24. Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability. Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities. Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team. Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects. Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance. Qualifications

10+ years of related experience. Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls. Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas. Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24. Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects. Ability to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance. Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
