The Director of Business Intelligence Architecture is a senior technical leader within the Revenue Optimization and Advanced Analytics team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the architecture of scalable data platforms, empowering the pricing and revenue management teams to extract actionable insights from data. By seamlessly integrating advanced technical expertise with strategic business objectives, the Director plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative data solutions, optimizing data pipelines, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. The day-to-day responsibilities include: Leading the design and implementation of scalable, secure BI solutions using Azure Databricks and cloud technologies, optimizing revenue management, pricing, and forecasting strategies. Developing and maintaining a unified BI platform that integrates data from both cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring efficient data pipelines, ETL processes, and advanced SQL capabilities. Collaborating closely with business users, data engineers, and analysts to ensure technical solutions align with business goals, fostering innovation and improving decision-making. Overseeing the creation and optimization of data workflows, orchestration, and pipeline processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to security protocols and relevant regulations. Working with IT and data teams to address vulnerabilities and maintain the integrity of data assets, ensuring compliance with internal and external security standards. Mentoring Business Data Strategists, providing technical guidance, supporting their professional development, and promoting the adoption of emerging BI technologies. Continuously monitoring data quality and system performance, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring consistent data delivery across platforms to meet business needs. Driving actionable insights that optimize revenue strategies and financial performance, and establishing a scalable, adaptable framework for managing data assets to meet future needs. Evaluating and implementing new BI tools and technologies, creating proof-of-concept projects to enhance data capabilities, scalability, and long-term business value. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. 4+ years of prior relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Architecture, or related roles. Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift). Proficient in database systems (SQL, NoSQL), ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend), and data orchestration (Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow). Strong programming skills in Python, R, or JavaScript for data manipulation and automation. Expertise in data modeling, governance frameworks, and ensuring data quality and compliance. Proven ability to optimize data workflows, troubleshoot pipelines, and drive actionable insights for revenue strategies. Excellent communication and leadership skills, presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders and driving business performance. Minimum of five years in data asset management, analytics, and governance, with experience in hospitality and revenue management systems preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines. Skilled in translating business objectives into actionable product strategies and driving continuous improvement. Experience leading teams, managing projects, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
