Trauma Surgery Opportunity
This job is located in Kyle, TX, at Ascension Seton Hays, a Level II Trauma Center. The schedule is PRN; rotating; minimum 4 shifts per month; at least 2 shifts will be nights and/or weekends. The EMR system used is Cerner/Compass. As an Acute Care APRN or PA with Trauma and General Surgery, you will have the opportunity to provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. You will work closely with the Trauma Surgeons on call. Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic procedures. Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions. Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and care. Requirements Licensure/Certification/Registration: Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.. Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Preferred Credential(s): Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Education: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred. Work Experience: 1 year of experience preferred.
