Business Development Opportunities
Work on one-party business development opportunities to expand the one-party carrier adoption and onboarding amongst the vendors. Work with partners in Amazon logistics business, Amazon Procurement, and one-party carriers to align capacity to demand, with respect to origin location, size, special handling requirements, and speed expectations. Build alignment with internal and external transportation providers; negotiate and deliver incremental carrier capacity when needed to meet program volume, particularly for Prime week and peak season. Develop mechanisms to provide visibility to performance and hold partners accountable. Work with Direct Fulfillment colleagues in Business Development, Account Management, Product, Tech as well as Amazon internal carriers to build processes and tools to enable scalable and flexible operations and drive growth towards program goals. Influence the vision and detailed requirements for automated solutions to enable our business to manage key levers like transit time, transit time contingencies, and carrier capacity.
