Physician: Intensivist
LifeBridge Health consists of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and Grace Medical Center. The Department of Medicine, Division is seeking a full-time, highly engaged physician to join our Critical Care team at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Northwest Hospital. Sinai is the largest community hospital in Maryland with 483 beds. It is an academic community hospital with a 29-bed closed ICU. This position also allows the opportunity to provide inpatient pulmonology coverage, if desired. As a nonprofit teaching hospital, Sinai Hospital is the largest community hospital in Maryland with 483 beds and serves residents of Baltimore City and County along with the surrounding areas. Sinai Hospital is a regional medical campus for George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences (GWSMHS) and provides training for more than 140 residents and 400 medical students yearly. Northwest Hospital is a 254-bed community hospital with 16-bed closed ICU that has served the northwest Baltimore community for more than 50 years. Northwest has built nearby facilities that offer convenient services such as outpatient surgery, adult day care and physical rehabilitation. This opportunity offers the challenge of working in two different ICUs, one is a teaching hospital and the other is a community hospital in Baltimore County. If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately: Critical Care Fellowship Required Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine required BE/BC in Pulmonology preferred but not required Maryland Medical License without restrictions Current CDS and DEA license BLS and ACLS certification Must work well as part of a team Interested in teaching medical students and residents The Opportunity: Approximately 13-14 twelve-hour shifts monthly which include a combination of days, nights, and weekend shifts. An average of 4 to 5 nights per month, as full-time night Intensivists do majority of nights. Well-established Critical Care Division presently consists of 11 full-time Critical Care Intensivists and 8 full-time Critical Care Physician Assistants. Provide in-house coverage for ICU patients. Critical Care procedural skills including central line insertion with ultrasound guidance, arterial catheter insertion, IO insertion, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, small and large bore chest tubes, intubation, and bedside ultrasound. Patient case mix includes both routine/moderate acuity and complex/high acuity patients. Financial Compensation and Benefits: Competitive starting base salary commensurate with experience.
