Lord Abbett is seeking a trader to join the Taxable Fixed Income department to lead the analysis and execution of Emerging Market Debt in both dedicated and non-dedicated strategies. The individual will primarily focus on hard currency corporate and sovereign credit across Asia, CEEMEA, and LATAM. Additional responsibilities will include the execution of derivatives, local rates, and foreign exchange. The individual will report to our Managing Director, Head of Macro Trading and is based in Jersey City, New Jersey.
We’ll Trust You To
Fulfill our fiduciary responsibility to our clients to achieve best execution on all transactions Provide timely updates and analysis on emerging markets to our entire Investments platform Identify investment opportunities that align with portfolio strategy and make recommendations to portfolio managers supported with thoughtful, data-driven analysis Collaborate with credit research analysts to facilitate information sharing and investment dialogue Proactively interact with all parts of Global Trading to promote the development of best practices and market awareness Continuously evaluate the market, trading technology and our trade data to find new ways to improve both our trade execution and work-flow efficiency Manage and enhance our trading relationships to maximize liquidity and resource allocation
You'll Need To Have
5+ years of emerging market bond trading experience that includes both cash and derivatives preferably in a buy-side role Strong knowledge of fixed income and emerging markets and the ability to understand the impact of macroeconomic and credit factors The ability to apply statistical analysis to market and trade data Bachelor’s degree, CFA or MBA is a plus

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $170,000 - $200,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
