Skylo’s direct-to-device service is now live on millions of activated devices across five continents, with more than 60 million square kilometers of coverage, in partnership with multiple satellite operators, mobile network operators (MNOs), Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs. Devices connected over satellite are managed and served by Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN, featuring a 3GPP standards-based cloud-native base station and core. Skylo provides an anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. This role is located in our Mountain View office where we are onsite 3 days a week. How You Will Contribute Responsibilities within this role encompass a wide range of technical and collaborative tasks, including: OEM Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for seamless integration and operation within the Skylo Network. Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support throughout the development process. Provide technical development and support to chipset and module manufacturers to expedite successful certification with Skylo. Commercialization and Certification:
Lead the commercialization of developed IoT devices, ensuring they meet all regulatory and industry standards and are fully prepared for certification. Coordinate testing, documentation, and compliance activities. Training Program Development:
Create and implement comprehensive training programs to educate OEMs, partners, and customers on the technical aspects of Skylo Network devices, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Standardize processes for device onboarding, SIM provisioning, and network visibility to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. This includes developing clear guidelines, documentation, and tools. Technical Leadership:
Establish technical leadership within the industry by developing and delivering presentations that showcase the capabilities and benefits of Skylo Network devices. Self-Service Tools and Customer Feedback:
Develop self-service tools and resources to empower customers and partners, while actively seeking and incorporating customer feedback to continuously improve products and services. Documentation: Develop and deliver effective training materials and collateral with Product & Marketing. What We Look For 7-10 years of experience in Telecommunication/Chipset/Module industry. Deep understanding of LTE, VoLTE, and SMS call flows, including PCAP trace analysis. Familiarity with networking protocols and components (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, ICMP). Hands-on experience with network elements (vRAN/ORAN, Core, packet/signal gateway). Good understanding of LTE and IoT device interfaces and protocols. Knowledge of Python, C, Java, and Shell programming languages. Familiarity with network latencies, RF, and Timing configurations.
