We are seeking a skilled strategist, who has the market access experience and expertise needed to optimize the development of assets at the individual level, while incorporating a portfolio approach. A deep understanding of payer systems in the US and major ex-US markets is a key requirement. The Director will be expected to become a crucial partner within the commercial and R&D organizations, bringing an increased understanding of US and global market access requirements to the organization and integrating timely payer perspectives into marketing and clinical development activities and decisions. This is a highly collaborative role that will need to work cohesively within a cross-functional team that includes New Product Planning, HEOR, Medical Affairs, US Market Access, Clinical, as well as alliance partners for select assets. Further, the candidate will be expected to engage frequently with senior leaders across the organization and must be able to build relationships, communicate effectively, and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
A Typical Day May Include The Following
Analyze trends and/or changes in the global market access environment, including competitors, to determine the strategic implications for the pipeline Create and lead market access and pricing plans for pipeline assets, with particular focus on US and EU, and Japan Shape value concepts and payer value proposition(s) for agreed target patient populations Provide market access guidance on indication sequencing and option selection from alternate development plans Plan for early access programs and compassionate use programs in partnership with the development team and patient advocacy

To be considered for this role, we need you to have 12 years of industry progressive" industry/relevant professional experience in either consulting and/ or pharmaceutical/biotech with 2+ years of experience leading pipeline market access responsibilities. We believe you should have US and ex-US pharmaceutical market access experience of 5+ years with solid knowledge in building successful market access plans for key global payer systems (e.g. US, FRA, GER, UK). We are also looking for previous product launch experience in a market access role. Lastly, we require you to be onsite in Sleepy Hollow, NY for 4 days a week.
