About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary National Director of Dining Services to lead and oversee all dining operations across our communities. This corporate leadership role is responsible for both back-of-house culinary systems and processes as well as front-of-house hospitality training and support.

The Director will leverage a team of community based Senior Executive Chefs to ensure consistent execution of high-quality dining experiences through onsite support, training, audits, and operational oversight. This position will shape company-wide culinary strategy while driving standards of excellence in service, menu innovation, compliance, and resident satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Provide strategic leadership for all dining operations across 40+ communities, ensuring consistency in quality, safety, and resident satisfaction. Develop and implement culinary systems, processes, and standards for back-of-house operations, including menu development, food safety, cost controls, and procurement strategies. Lead front-of-house training and hospitality initiatives to elevate resident and guest dining experiences. Direct and mentor Senior Executive Chefs, deploying them to support communities with audits, training, and onsite operational challenges as needed. Partner with community-level Executive Chefs to drive operational excellence and implement company culinary initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dining services, including food costs, labor, satisfaction scores, and health inspections. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, budget planning, and capital improvement projects related to dining services. Stay ahead of industry trends, introducing innovative dining concepts and resident-focused culinary programming. This role will require up to 50% travel.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute. 10+ years of progressive culinary and dining services leadership, with at least 5 years overseeing multi-site or corporate-level operations (senior living, healthcare, or hospitality strongly preferred). Proven expertise in both back-of-house culinary management and front-of-house hospitality training. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage geographically dispersed teams. Knowledge of regulatory compliance in food safety, sanitation, and nutrition. Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
