Project Manager/Estimator
to join their team in Seattle, WA. This dual-role position is ideal for a construction professional with a strong background in
heavy civil projects
who can manage active jobs while also contributing to preconstruction efforts through accurate and strategic estimating.
Key Responsibilities
Manage heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Lead estimating efforts for upcoming bids, including quantity takeoffs, subcontractor coordination, and cost analysis. Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and resource plans. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Support business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals.
Experience Needed
5+ years of combined experience in project management and estimating for heavy civil construction (e.g., roads, bridges, utilities, earthwork). Proven ability to manage field operations and develop competitive bids. Experience with public works and DOT projects is highly preferred. Proficiency with estimating and project management software (e.g., HCSS, HeavyBid, Primavera P6, MS Project).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Familiarity with local market conditions and subcontractor base is a plus.
