Description The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. This role combines technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful AWS-based solutions for clients. The EM will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. Applying frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, the EM will demonstrate technical credibility across stakeholders, translate customer needs into technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade-offs considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact. The role requires strong technology and program management experience, validation of technical solutions against business goals, recognition of when additional technical evaluation is needed, and management of technical risks. AWS certifications, domain-specific expertise, and effective communication of technical concepts are essential. The EM will lead increasingly complex projects, shape technical strategies, and establish best practices. Responsibilities include executing project plans, managing risks, resolving issues, escalating when necessary, and exceeding customer expectations. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team helping customers realize their business outcomes using AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud initiatives, providing guidance through various offerings and specialty practices. Key Responsibilities Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects Guiding technical decisions and strategic planning using AWS services and best practices Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes Translating customer needs into technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable solutions Contributing to technical documentation and standards About The Team We value diverse experiences.
