Location:
Charlotte, NC A leading employee-owned engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Project Managerto lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in their Charlotte office. This is a pivotal role with a clear path to group leadership within 12 months, as the current leader transitions into a broader company-wide position. You’ll be responsible for technical delivery, managing and mentoring of technical teams, delivering high-quality municipal projects, and maintaining strong relationships with public utility clients. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead the delivery of water/wastewater infrastructure projects including treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and sewer systems Manage internal teams across multiple concurrent projects Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff Maintain and grow relationships with municipal clients and utility agencies Ensure projects meet regulatory and environmental standards Collaborate with design, permitting, and construction teams Contribute to business development and strategic planning What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline 15–20+ years of relevant experience in wastewater infrastructure Professional Engineer (PE) license Strong technical design background, especially in wastewater facilities.
