Base pay range $200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus A leading private equity firm with over $15 billion in assets under management and a long track record of successful investing. The firm operates with approximately 100 employees and recently closed a $5 billion fund, continuing its strategy of long-term value creation in the healthcare and technology sectors. Position Summary: The firm is seeking a Senior Controller to oversee all financial and accounting functions for the management company. This role will serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO, responsible for internal and external reporting, financial controls, budgeting, treasury, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, prior experience within private equity or asset management, and a leadership mindset focused on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Produce management reports and financial dashboards for firm leadership. Accounting Operations: Manage daily operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintain rigorous internal controls. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and reforecasting processes in partnership with the CFO. Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to support strategic decisions. Cash Management & Treasury: Oversee cash flow management, bank relationships, and capital planning. Authorize disbursements and ensure liquidity to support firm operations. Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate tax filings with external advisors across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Supervise and mentor a team of 3 accounting professionals. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Partner cross-functionally with Tax, Operations, and Partnership teams to drive efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred. 15+ years of progressive experience, with at least 5 in a leadership role. Experience in private equity, venture capital, or asset management is highly desirable. Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls. Proficient in financial systems (e.g., Great Plains, Concur, Microsoft Excel). High integrity, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills. Seniority level
