The Chevron Lummus Global (CLG) group is looking for a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the Category Management team. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall category strategy, vendor relationships, onboarding of new vendors, and evaluation of potential suppliers for a category with $200M of annual spend. Researching and selecting potential suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and other criteria. Lead bidding events and negotiating commercial and legal terms to secure favorable contracts. Continuously seeking ways to reduce total costs and driving process improvements. Assessing potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions, regulatory issues, or geopolitical factors, and developing contingency plans and effectively communicating these risks to the business. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability. Keeping up to date with market trends, supplier capabilities, and competitive pricing to inform sourcing decisions. Using data to track spending, measure supplier performance, and analyze the effectiveness of sourcing strategies. Work closely with procurement, finance, logistics, sales, and demand planning to align sourcing with broader organizational objectives. Develop raw materials cost forecasts and communicate impacts to the business partners Ad-hoc analysis and other duties may be assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. 10 years+ of progressive Strategic Procurement or Category Management experience in the Catalyst Manufacturing or Chemicals Industries. Demonstrated experience with alumina, zeolite, metals and tolling contracts are strongly preferred. Experience in strategic global product sourcing, negotiations and optimization. Experience with raw materials and tolling strongly preferred. In-dept knowledge of ERP-systems (JDE E1) strongly preferred.
