Oil & Gas Houlihan Lokey’s Oil & Gas (O&G) Group is a recognized leader in providing a wide range of investment banking advisory services to companies and investors operating in the oil & gas industry. This dedicated team of financial and technical professionals focuses primarily on large, complex transactions in the oil & gas industry, including across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors as well as in molecule-related alternative energies. The O&G Group is comprised of a global team with dedicated industry bankers in Houston, Dallas, New York, London, Dubai, and Hong Kong and regularly works on cross-border deals. The O&G Group is a cross-product industry vertical. Job Description Vice Presidents are typically members of small deal teams comprising at least one Managing Director, Vice President, Associate, and Financial Analyst. Vice Presidents in O&G work on a variety of transactions, including across a variety of financial advisory and investment banking services, such as: Advising clients in Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) transactions Asset-level Acquisition & Divestiture (A&D) transactions Debt and equity financings, including private placement, arrangement and public Capital Markets transactions Board Strategic Advisory Valuation and Transaction Opinion advisory transactions Special-situation principal investing; and Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of our clients. Basic Qualifications Strongfundamental knowledge of the oil and gas industry, valuation theory, methodologies, and applications Demonstrated analytical capabilities; and excellent verbal and written communications skills Candidates should be highly motivated, organized, and team-oriented Preferred Qualifications At least 5 years of investment banking or equivalent finance experience is required B.A. or B.S. in finance, accounting, business or applied economics and / or course work in accounting and finance is highly recommended; an MBA is not required Prior M&A, restructuring, distressed investing, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, or similar experience is required Experience in the oil and gas industry is required ; some upstream technical experience is preferred Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications Strong financial and computer skills Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff Strong analytical abilities; including financial modeling skills Compensation and Benefits Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation .
