As an Interior Project Manager, you will play a key role in balancing client goals with HLW’s standards, ensuring the successful delivery of profitable, high-quality projects. You will oversee projects from concept to completion, managing design coordination, planning, and execution. Your leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be critical in guiding teams, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver outstanding architectural solutions that meet regulatory requirements, budget constraints, and client expectations. You will represent HLW professionally and ethically, championing excellence in design, project management, and client engagement. Reporting Structure The Interior Project Manager reports directly to the Studio Director and works closely with the Director of Finance. Job Responsibilities
Project Planning & Business Development Support responses to RFPs, including developing project fees, schedules, and scope in coordination with the Principal/Partner in Charge and Studio Director. Lead client coordination, including contracts, billings, and communications. Maintain and strengthen client relationships to foster repeat business and contribute to business development and marketing efforts. Financial Management
Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial management and project profitability. Oversee project budgets and financial performance in coordination with the Director of Finance and Studio Director. Team Leadership & Coordination
Manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans, ensuring cost control and timely completion. Lead project meetings, fostering collaboration and efficiency. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to align project goals and expectations. Ensure project quality control reviews are conducted with the Studio Technical Director. Mentor junior architects and project team members to support professional growth. Project Execution & Oversight
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Manage daily and long-term project activities, including client and consultant coordination, tracked through documented workflows. Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress meetings to monitor project execution and resolve challenges. Role Qualifications
Education & Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture or related field. NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer with 8-10 years of experience. LEED accreditation. Technical Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and project management tools like Deltek, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Newforma. Strong understanding of building codes, permitting, and construction processes. Experience with contractual and regulatory issues and working with contractors and consultants. Leadership & Management: Significant experience in senior managerial roles across various project types. Proven ability to manage and mentor staff across multiple projects. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and track issues effectively. Financial & Business Development: Experience in budgeting and financial management, including managing income and expenses. Willingness to work entrepreneurially to expand HLW’s practice. The expected salary range is $120,000-$135,000, based on experience, qualifications, location, and other factors.
