About the Role: My commercial G.C. client is seeking a highly experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee QC operations on a federal design-build in Georgia. This is a critical on-site role requiring deep knowledge of federal construction standards and a proven track record of managing complex QC programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and implement the Three-Phase Quality Control System in accordance with USACE/NAVFAC standards.
Ensure compliance with all federal contract specifications, drawings, and safety regulations.
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain quality standards.
Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
Maintain and submit all required QC documentation and reports.
Interface with government representatives and inspectors.
Identify and resolve quality issues proactively to avoid delays or rework.
Qualifications: 5+ years of QC experience on federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, or similar).
Solid tenure with previous employers; preference for candidates with long-term roles.
Experience with design-build projects and hangar or industrial facility construction is highly desirable.
Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and other federal safety and quality standards.
Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
USACE CQM-C certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
