Summary The Senior Manager of Accounting & Compliance is a segment-level role within the EMCOR Construction Services accounting team at EMCOR Group, Inc. and will primarily be responsible for ensuring the segment’s compliance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board. The role is accountable for developing and monitoring control systems at our operating companies to preserve assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. It involves providing strategic recommendations regarding internal controls, working with auditors, and playing a key role in the internal controls environment. Travel requirements: 30%

Compensation Range: $160,000 - $170,000

This position is bonus eligible. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Contribute to accurate and timely reporting of financial statements and analysis for internal stakeholders, including operational leadership and Corporate Accounting teams. Lead monthly reviews of operating company WIP reports and analyze contract positions. Participate in quarterly forecasts and annual budgets to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Review reporting packages from operating companies to ensure compliance and accuracy. Assist in financial due diligence for M&A activities. Support special financial planning and analysis projects, including cost structure evaluations. Promote EMCOR’s Code of Ethics and conduct business with integrity.

Accounting Compliance:

Advise operating companies on processes for regulatory compliance, records maintenance, and controls. Work with newly acquired entities to develop internal controls aligned with PCAOB standards. Manage the internal control environment at the segment level to mitigate risks. Collaborate with auditors to facilitate audits and respond to requests. Oversee business continuity plans ensuring compliance and readiness.

Education & Experience

MBA in accounting/finance or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with 5-7+ years of progressive experience, preferably including public company audit experience of 5+ years. CPA accreditation is strongly preferred. Construction industry experience and familiarity with construction contracts are advantageous. Required Computer Skills
