Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is a critical, cross-functional business management process that integrates strategic business plans with tactical execution across demand, supply, and financial functions. It aligns sales, marketing, production, sourcing, and finance plans to drive competitive advantage and achieve strategic objectives – “Demand and Supply alignment with financial reconciliation.” The ideal candidate should possess deep functional expertise in Sales, MP&L, and Sales planning, along with strong leadership capabilities and the ability to navigate complex international environments to drive the launch of industry-leading S&OP processes. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field 7+ Years of Experience Preferred qualifications include... Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Supply Chain Management, or similar) 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across Sales, Planning, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Extensive experience leading complex, cross-functional process improvement and IT solution initiatives, especially involving transformation or greenfield development Proven ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders and regional teams within a global matrix organization Experience in the Automotive industry or similar high-volume manufacturing environment Deep understanding of core Supply Chain Planning processes, including S&OP and S&OE Strong knowledge of Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and Logistics principles Experience with process development, S&OP launch, documentation, analytical tools, and benchmarking methodologies Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Advanced Planning Systems (APS) Experience with system selection, implementation, or optimization of planning technologies Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML in forecasting, automation, or visualization platforms Strategic and proactive leadership with strong management skills and executive presence Exceptional influencing, collaboration, and consensus-building skills across functions and organizational levels Proven coaching, mentoring, and team development abilities Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly for diverse audiences Highly collaborative, fostering a positive and results-oriented environment Strong commitment to customer-centricity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement Dependability, accountability, and a focus on delivering business outcomes Flexibility to work across different time zones You may not check every box, or your experience may look different, but if you believe you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
