Full-time Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Chief Officer to lead and oversee all operations within SayPro’s Special and Disability School. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, individualized education and comprehensive support services that meet the unique needs of our learners, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Management Oversee daily operations of the Special and Disability School, ensuring alignment with SayPro’s vision and values Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote inclusion, accessibility, and excellence in special education Lead a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and support staff, fostering collaboration and professional growth Educational Programmes & Services Ensure the creation and execution of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs and abilities Oversee the delivery of a specialized curriculum, including academic, life skills, and vocational training Facilitate therapeutic services, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and counselling (onsite or referrals) Promote use of assistive technology and adaptive tools to support learning and independence Accessibility & Inclusion Maintain and enhance accessible learning environments through physical adaptations and supportive infrastructure Encourage parental and caregiver involvement to support student progress and wellbeing Coordinate community integration programs to foster social inclusion and real-world learning opportunities Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitor programme outcomes and ensure compliance with education and disability regulations Collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and special education experts to provide holistic support Manage budgets, resources, and reporting requirements efficiently Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field Proven leadership experience in a special or disability education setting Strong understanding of special education law, inclusive practices, and therapeutic interventions Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Benefits:
