Licensed Social Worker or Counselor CBI is hiring for the District of Columbia Stabilization Center (DCSC), which provides 24/7, no-cost, low-barrier crisis services for individuals aged 18 and older experiencing substance use disorder (SUD) crises. The center offers person-centered, recovery-oriented care to reduce unnecessary emergency department visits and law enforcement interactions.
Job Summary The Licensed Social Worker (LSW) will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing emotional support, mental health evaluations, therapy, and case management to clients facing psychological, emotional, medical, social, or familial challenges. The LSW will coordinate with nurses, behavioral health providers, techs, and recovery support specialists to ensure a safe environment and quality care.
Skills and Requirements
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or higher.
At least one year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
Licensure as LGSW, LISW, LICSW (D.C. Board of Social Work) or LGPC, LPC (D.C. Board of Professional Counseling).
