We are seeking a dedicated, board-certified or board-eligible physician in Palliative Medicine to join an inpatient team specializing in compassionate, comprehensive palliative care near Roswell, GA. This full-time, permanent position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing specialized care to patients in an acute care hospital setting.

Position Overview:

  • Role: Inpatient Palliative Care Physician
  • Location: Near Roswell, GA
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered palliative care in an inpatient acute care setting.
  • Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team consisting of:
    • One experienced palliative care physician
    • A dedicated, full-time licensed practical nurse (LPN)
    • A full-time licensed social worker
  • Assist in managing and growing the inpatient palliative care program, with a focus on holistic, coordinated patient care.
  • Engage with patients, families, and the medical team to create personalized care plans aligned with patients goals and quality-of-life considerations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in palliative care program management within an acute care hospital setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

Educational Requirements:

  • Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (or eligibility for certification) through the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or General Surgery.
  • Completion of a Palliative Medicine Fellowship from an accredited program.
  • Active Georgia medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
