Position: Family Nurse Practitioner

Location: Fully Remote

Licensing: Must have active NP licenses in at least 3 of the following states:

  • TX, NY, WA, AZ, VA, IA, IL, CO, NV, AR, UT, MD, KY, OR, MA, KS, NM

Pay: $60-65/hr

Available Shifts:

  • Part-time - 20 hrs/wk
  • Modified Full-time - 32 hrs/wk
  • Full-time - 40 hrs/wk
  • Required to work 1 weekend per month
  • Holiday coverage required (2 days)

Contract Duration: Sept-February/March (contract dates will vary depending on business needs and patient flow)

Employment Type: 1099

Equipment: Must provide own equipment (computer/laptop)

General Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing urgent care services remotely. In this role, you will leverage telehealth technology to assess, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions, ensuring timely and effective care for our patients for flu and cold season.

Essential Functions:

  • Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
  • Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary
  • Document medical information of patients and review patient history at each visit
  • Prescribe medications
  • Evaluate response to treatments and medications
  • Request consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriate
  • Counsel and educate patients
  • Provide preventative care
  • Manage pediatric and adult patients for both acute and chronic conditions
  • Create patient care plans and contribute to existing care plans
  • Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends
  • Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results and prescription clarifications
  • Scheduling flexibility to include evenings and weekends

Job Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license and certification.
  • Board certified - Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner who also maintains an active RN license
  • Ability to obtain both RN and NP licensure in additional states
  • 3+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care (preferred) or urgent care required
  • Experience/Comfortable with providing care for all ages, newborn to adult populations
  • Demonstrate flexibility
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
