Clinical Details
    • Annual Volume (Altoona): 51,000 visits
    • Average ED Volume (24 hrs): 137 patients
    • Staffing:
      • 70 hrs/day physician coverage + 24 hrs/day APP coverage
      • You will work alongside other physicians and sign off on APPs
    • Procedures:
      • Intubation
      • Chest tubes
      • Central lines
      • Joint reductions and aspirations
      • Laceration repair, I&Ds, and other typical EM interventions
    • EMR: Cerner
    • No vent management
  • Stroke Certification required
Candidate Requirements
  • Board Certification: Required in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
  • Training: Must have completed an EM residency
  • Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license required
  • Certifications: CPR and stroke certified (ACLS/BLS/PALS/ATLS not required if board certified)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years post-residency in emergency medicine
  • DEA: Required
  • Local Candidates Preferred (must be able to drive to sites)
