Whiteriver IHS located on the beautiful Fort Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, Arizona, is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join their dedicated team in the Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity to serve a diverse Native American population while practicing in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

Start Date: October 2025
Annual ED Volume: Approximately 40,000 visits

• 07:00 AM 07:00 PM

• 09:00 AM 09:00 PM

• 10:00 AM 10:00 PM

• 03:00 PM 03:00 AM

• 08:00 PM 08:00 AM

• Deliver direct, compassionate emergency care to both pediatric and adult patients
  

• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with CMS, EMTALA, and Joint Commission standards

• Collaborate with nurses, technicians, and other allied healthcare professionals
  

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or
  Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with a minimum of 1.5 years of emergency department experience

• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

  • ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support)

• Preferred: ABEM or AOBEM certified physicians

• Must obtain clinical privileges with the Whiteriver Service Unit before starting
