This cancer center is a comprehensive oncology facility that combines outpatient care with a radiation treatment center. The facility features a collaborative team including surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, a patient navigator, and support staff. Opportunity: ACLS-Board Certified - Hematology/Oncology
Job Details:
- Outpatient practice 3-5 days a week for 8 hours per day
- Inpatient on-call coverage 7 days per month (24 hours per day)
- Two schedule options available: M-W-F 8 hr/day + 7 on-call shifts per month OR M-F 8 hr/day + 7 on-call shifts per month
- Practice consists of 25% Hematology and 75% Oncology
- Average of 10 outpatient patients and 2 hospital patients per day
- Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Collaborative practice environment with radiation oncologists, breast surgeon, and surgical oncologists
- Documentation through EPIC EMR system
- Duties include tumor board participation, ordering tests and images, prescribing, and managing VAD/CV catheters
- Required procedures include chemotherapy administration (intracavitary, intrathecal) and FNA/biopsy
- Spanish-speaking patient population with interpreters available
- Long-term locum tenens opportunity starting August 2025 or as soon as credentialed
