- Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or equivalent.
- Completion of a sterile processing technician training program or equivalent experience in sterile processing.
- Experience working in a healthcare or manufacturing environment related to sterile processing.
- Familiarity with non-durable goods manufacturing processes related to medical or surgical supplies.
- Strong organizational skills and experience with inventory management systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours in a PRN (as-needed) capacity.
- Sterilize, clean, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage, ensuring all items meet quality standards before distribution.
- Assemble surgical instrument trays and sets tailored to specific procedures, maintaining accurate inventory and documentation.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, monitoring cycles and maintaining equipment logs.
