nKey Responsibilities:

- Patient Care & Comfort : Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or check-ups, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have. n
- Assist with Procedures : Set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures. Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry and ensure the dental room is well-prepared for each procedure. n
- Instrument Sterilization & Safety : Follow proper sterilization procedures and ensure that all dental instruments are sanitized in compliance with health regulations. n
- Lab Tasks & Post-Operative Care : Assist with lab tasks as directed and provide patients with post-operative care instructions. n
- Record Maintenance : Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, assisting with patient charts, treatment documentation, and payment procedures. n
- Scheduling & Office Support : Assist in scheduling patient appointments and ensuring the office runs smoothly with minimal disruptions. Keep the dental room clean, organized, and well-stocked. n
- Regulated Tasks : Perform non-surgical tasks such as coronal polishing, if certified, and assist with other regulated tasks as allowed by local regulations. n
Requirements & Qualifications:

- Experience : A minimum of 5 years of dental assisting experience in a clinical setting. n
- Certification : Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) is required. Coronal polishing and nitrous oxide requirements must be met. n
- Skills & Knowledge : n
- In-depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols. n
- Familiarity with dental procedures and treatments. n
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental office. n
- Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred. n
- Clinical Competence : Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing, and assist with other dental procedures. n
- Communication & Patient Care : Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort. n
- Organization & Attention to Detail : Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. n
- Team-Oriented : Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing high-quality patient care. n
Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional Certifications : Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), Radiology Certification, or Dental Hygiene Assistant certification. n
- Language Skills : Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus but not required. n
Schedule:

- 4-5 days/week (Monday-Friday) from 7:30am-5:00pm n
