What You'll Be Doing- Prepare all menu items according to standard recipes and yield guides.
- Work independently at assigned workstation to prep menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Meet with leaders to review assignments, anticipated business levels, and changes.
- Communicate needs of support during busy periods to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Inform leaders of excess items that may be used elsewhere or in specials.
- Store food properly in accordance with the health department and property standards.
- Minimize waste and maintain food cost controls.
- Review work status and follow-up items with leaders before end of shift.
- Visually inspect food for quality and alert leadership of any concerns.
- Monitor and rotate products to ensure freshness and quality.
- Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned, using standard cleaning products.
- Keep floors dry and clean to prevent slip/fall hazards.
- Assist with additional duties such as moving supplies and cleaning unexpected spills.

ScheduleThis is a 24-7, 365 day a year business that will require some work during nights, weekends and holidays. A flexible schedule that can move between shifts and days as needed is highly desired.
This position starts as a 90-day seasonal-to-hire role. After the 90-day period, there is the potential to be offered a regular full-time position , which includes access to our comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities
- Good working knowledge of pantry fundamentals and cold food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of sanitation standards and proper food handling.
- Familiarity with refrigeration equipment and safe storage practices.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to follow recipes and communicate effectively
- Minimum formal education of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses or certificates , including a Washington State food handler’s card
- Consistent and efficient performance under pressure
- Strong time management skills; completes tasks in a timely manner
- Preferred: additional language ability
- Preferred: prior restaurant cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen or resort setting
Physical Requirements
Majority of daily tasks involve standing, hearing, talking, smelling, tasting, near vision, walking, grasping, and far vision.
Occasionally required to climb stairs, crouch/bend/stoop, reach, push/pull, and lift or carry up to 50+ lbs.
Must be able to work in confined spaces and tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures.
