This position requires FTI and CJIS and name base background check. Qualifications Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in enterprise systems support. Substitution for Bachelor's degree: Relevant IT Associate's Degree. OR An Associate's degree and two years of related IT experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement. Substitution of Experience for Education:

Related IT experience may substitute for the required bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years. Necessary Special Qualifications:

Overview Under general supervision, this classification supports enterprise systems by configuring, maintaining, and monitoring hardware, operating systems, and backups. Performs system administration tasks under general supervision to ensure data integrity and system performance. Entry-level position in the Systems Administrator series. Responsible for monitoring logs, supporting system backups, virtual machines, and collaborating with technical teams on issue resolution and configuration. This class differs from the Systems Administrator-Advanced in that incumbents of the latter perform complex systems administration duties in analyzing system logs and researching failure codes for resolutions and implementing solution.

Responsibilities 1. Monitor system logs, hardware, and backups; respond to and resolve issues. 2. Assist with configuration of LANs, WANs, SANs, NAS, SDWANs, and other common network configurations, tape , NAS, tape libraries, and backup software. 3. Support backup and recovery across enterprise environments including VMs and physical servers, in both Cloud and on-prem environments. 4. Provision and manage storage; assist with RAID configuration and data domain systems. 5. Create and manage virtual machines per user specifications. 6. Troubleshoot backup, firewall, and connectivity issues across systems. 7. Document processes, configurations, and assist in escalation communications. Competencies (KSA's) Competencies: 1.
