Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure effectively.
Configure, maintain, and optimize physical and virtual systems.
Implement best practices for system functionality, reliability, and security.
Independently manage crucial system components and lead initiatives in system design and performance optimization.
Oversee patch implementation and disaster recovery planning.
Identify technical requirements and recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure performance.
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 4-8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of experience.
Hands-on experience in system installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance.
Ability to monitor and optimize system performance, including storage allocation.
Experience with implementing critical patches and updates for system security.
Skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues and analyzing performance logs.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) and enterprise hardware platforms.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows environments, including server administration and deployment.
Experience with Active Directory (AD) for managing user accounts and permissions.
Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and system management.
Solid understanding of system administration best practices including performance tuning and patching.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with security management practices to protect system integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, VMware VCP, or similar.
Advanced scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation across hybrid environments.
Experience with enterprise security policies, patch management, and system hardening.
Background in systems engineering and performance optimization in complex environments.
Familiarity with virtualized and hybrid cloud infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Experience with systems support workflows and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
