The Intelligence Production Solutions Division (IPSD), a part of the Decision Advantage Solutions Business Area, is seeking a dynamic Software Development Engineer for the Chinook Program on the Advanced Analyst Augmentation Analytical Cloud Enablement System (4ACES) team. In this role, you will engage in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including planning, architecture, coding, and automated testing in an Agile environment. You will blend software development with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) administration, gaining hands-on experience in configuring Databricks and AWS resources. Your contributions will include developing automation solutions and supporting service metrics reporting. You will collaborate effectively with a global team of users and data scientists leveraging Databricks within multiple Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) deployments. Top Secret Security Clearance Required. Primary Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, defect resolution, and manage COTS/GOTS/FOSS activities. Support software installations and deployments. Assist with debugging during core COTS upgrades. Contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle within established guidelines. Lead enhancements of a system or application with ownership and accountability. Break complex tasks into achievable units with accurate estimations. Work with fellow engineers to create and document effective technical designs. Ensure adherence to Agile processes and best practices by the team. Develop tailored software solutions while prioritizing customer needs. Collaborate to remove obstacles for the development team with product owners and technical leads. Basic Qualifications: US citizenship is required per contract. Candidates must have an active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Polygraph. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 4-8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of experience. Proficient in technologies including:

Web: HTML, CSS, REST APIs Object-oriented Programming: Python (Pandas, Boto3, PySpark, MLOps), Java, C++, or similar Databases: Amazon RDS Operating Systems: Linux Version Control: Git

Experienced in developing and testing automation scripts. Proficient in writing documentation and configurations. Advanced SQL skills (DML and DDL) for data operations. Skilled in data transformation and analysis using Microsoft Excel. Ability to create effective Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. Knowledge of software security and handling sensitive data. Must have or be willing to obtain within 6 months Security+ CE (or equivalent). Understanding of modern software design patterns and coding standards. Hands-on experience with architecting and delivering complex software systems. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery practices. A strong, self-motivated desire to learn new technologies and methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash. Experience with Databricks, Jupyter Notebook, Scala, and Power Query. Familiar with software architectures like client-server and microservices. Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3) and others. Relevant certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker.
