The Console Operators provide 24/7 optimum security services for the entire VCU health footprint. Operators will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patients, our visitors and our employees that are within our environment daily by monitoring the electronic systems and giving accurate information to the police officers and security officers and other safety teams that respond to the calls for service.Essential Job StatementsConsole operators will be responsible for monitoring electronic security camera systems, alarm panels, intrusion detection, video cameras footage request, badge verification, and general access control, in addition to re-setting panic button alarms, code pink alarms, receiving and reacting to large call volume of request for access.Console operators are also tasked with maintaining excellent customer service and communication skills.Console operators must have the ability to multitask, be proficient in CCTV systems, Radio systems, computers, and MS Office.Console operators may be asked to a flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, days, evenings and midnight shifts.Must be able to pass background check and drug screenMust be highly dependable, able to stay calm in stressful situations, and have a strong attention to detail.
