$10,000 SUMMARY: The Addiction Therapist plays a crucial role in providing diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, managing cases, and offering individual and group counseling for clients struggling with chemical dependency. In acute and residential settings, you will oversee and manage the patient community, all while collaborating with a clinical team to deliver efficient treatment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as the primary therapist delivering Substance Use Disorder treatment through engaging individual and group counseling. Oversee and manage the patient community, ensuring a supportive environment. Develop and implement comprehensive care management and discharge planning, including submitting referrals for housing and continuing care. Complete patient documentation and progress summaries in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Handle insurance authorization requests and address denial appeals effectively. Conduct quality audits of patient records and processes to ensure high standards of care. Perform initial and ongoing assessments to determine diagnoses and appropriate levels of care for clients. Provide culturally sensitive and individualized treatment plans that address each client’s needs. Facilitate communication with other care providers and referral sources to enhance the understanding of client problems and strengths. Engage in professional supervision and education for continuous improvement of client care. Document medical records comprehensively and promptly, adhering to required standards. Collaborate as an active member of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver patient care. Provide crisis intervention and management, utilizing de-escalation techniques as necessary. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Required Certification/Licensure:

CASAC, OASAS QHP or CASAC-T with a commitment to achieve full certification within 24 months or OASAS QHP (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT, or permit holder) with a Master's Degree. Required Years of Experience:

Completion of a clinical internship in chemical dependency or at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a chemical dependency or mental health program. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Degrees in Human Service fields at Associate, Bachelor, or Master's level. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This role involves sedentary work, with occasional walking or standing required. Exertion may include lifting up to 10 pounds. PAY RANGE: $27.25 - $36.00 The salary range is a reflection of what you can expect for the role, subject to change and influenced by factors such as experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
